Risks of browser extensions

Here's a good article exploring the security risks can arise from browser extensions. The moral of the story is to be careful with which extensions you install, and what access you authorise these extensions to have. According to the article, there are now over 200 ChatGPT extensions in the Chrome webstore, compared to just 11 in May. Some of these may be malicious, like the one that was discovered to be intercepting users Facebook ID's and passwords, with those accounts then being hijacked.
